As from the 1st April 2018 all domestic privately rented properties will require a minimum energy rating of E on an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). This will impact on all new lets and renewals of tenancies.
If you are a landlord then now is the time to be considering if any work is required on your rental properties to comply with this new regulation. If a current EPC is showing a rating of below E for a property but you have already undertaken energy performance improvements on it then a new EPC may be all that is required.
