Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit! is Happy St Patrick’s Day in Irish – pronounced ‘Law Ale-yeh Pawd-rig Sunna Ditch!’
It is a national holiday in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and also the Caribbean island of Montserrat which is also know as the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean, all places home to large communities with Irish heritage.
The Chicago River is dyed green for St Patrick’s Day.
Well known St Patrick Day saying:
