Here at The Purple Property Shop we try and support local charities and organisations as much as possible.
We give 10% of our revenue from customers buying or renting a property in Bury to Bury Hospice, and therefore we are thrilled to support Grace’s Point Children’s Hospice, which is being built on the site of the old Bury Hospice.
Last week we went to The Philanthropist’s Lunch at James Martin’s restaurant in Manchester in aid of Grace’s Place. We donated £250 to the charity and met with their social media campaign manager.
Her campaign is called “Mini Me Moment” and it is hoped this drive will raise £1 million pounds for the hospice. Grace’s Place are asking people to change their profile picture on Facebook or twitter to an image of you when you was younger. Once you have, donate as much or as little as you can to the campaign via their just giving page or texting SHAL01 and your amount to 70070. You then need to nominate two more people to change their picture and donate, they then need to do the same etc etc.
Our managing director Matt Jones has chosen a picture of himself, sister and two cousins for his campaign. Matt is the one on the right with the Superman T-shirt and Wizard of Oz socks who is trying to strangle his cousin Sarah. The other children in the photo are his older sister Alison and cousin Mark
