Local Estate Agents, The Purple Property Shop who have offices in both Bury and Bolton have offered financial support to Bury Hospice to help ease their current financial concerns.
Matthew Jones and Sally Glennen, The Directors of The Purple Property Shop (who both have a background in Health Service Management) were concerned to read in the local press about the financial plight of the hospice and met with The Hospice’s Chief Executive, Jacqui Comber last week to see how the local firm could help.
Matthew and Sally have agreed to donate 10% of all revenues associated with properties that they sell or rent in the Bury District to the Hospice, a deal that is likely to be worth tens of thousands of pounds over the coming years.
The Purple Property Shop prides itself on offering the same core values to its customers that the NHS offers to its patients – customer service and value for money and it is these values that have helped the company grow so rapidly and establish themselves as one of the market leaders in the property market in such a short time. The company may only be four years old, but have already picked up seven major awards, including being voted the best loved estate agency in the country, for an unprecedented three years in a row.
Managing Director of The Purple Property Shop, Matthew Jones, said the work of the Hospice is pivotal to the community of Bury and was concerned to read about their current financial difficulties. “We are therefore extremely proud to be associated with the Hospice and feel extremely privileged to be able to help them achieve their goals and provide excellent end of life care to the families of Bury”.
Sally Glennen, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Purple Property Shop who has a background in nursing and healthcare management, said that “we pride ourselves on the level of customer service we offer to our customers, and recognise our responsibility to help improve the community which we serve.”
Jacqui Comber, Chief Executive of Bury Hospice said “we are enormously grateful for this wonderful gesture from Matthew and his team. We hope it inspires even more local businesses to consider ways they may be able to help us in our work”
The Purple Property Shop’s extremely competitive fees start at just £700 to sell your house with them, and if you live in the Bury District (postcode areas BL8, BL9, BL0 and M26) 10% of this fee will be donated to the hospice at no additional cost to the customer.
