Purple Property Shop are the WINNERS of Bolton and Bury New Business of the year award 2012

The Purple Property Shop fought off tough opposition to earn themselves the crown of Start up Business of the Year at the Bolton and Bury Business Awards Ceremony on Thursday 21st June 2012 held at the Reebok Stadium.

The judge David Gorton of Gorton’s Chartered Accountants said ‘The Purple Property Shop were clear winners having established a robust business plan and implemented it successfully’.  In the first two years The Purple Property Shop have taken on more than 300 properties for sale and rent since its launch in September 2010, and currently has a live stock of approximately 150 houses for sale and provides a management service to approximately 50 landlords.

The Bolton News reported….’The significant success achieved by the company is tribute to the sheer business acumen of Directors Matthew Jones and Sally Glennen, both of whom had no prior experience of estate agency work.  When they were attempting to sell one property and let another, they spotted a gap in the market, and when they were disappointed by their encounters with estate agents, both decided to set up their own company with customer service and value for money at its heart.

Matthew said ‘Despite very modest beginnings, we have grown very quickly into a large, successful, profitable estate agent with a market share that is well above average.
